Business Co-Chair Named to Greater Moncton Homelessness Steering Committee

Moncton business owner Mike Randall has been named co-chair of the Greater Moncton Homelessness Steering Committee.

Randall, a co-owner of Portfolio Solutions Group, joins Dr. Susan Crouse, medical director of the Salvus Clinic, as the co-chairs for the committee, which consists of several frontline social agencies working to improve the lives and find affordable, assisted housing for the most vulnerable in Greater Moncton.

Finding a business co-chair of the GMHSC was one of 27 actions contained in the Joint Action Report released in late November by the Community Task Force on Homelessness and Downtown Security.

Randall said he hopes his business background can help the committee as it works with the Task Force and other stakeholders on their common goal to reach zero functional homelessness.

“My involvement in the community forum organized by the Task Force and in helping to prepare the Joint Action Report convinced me this was an on-going contribution I could make to ending chronic homelessness in Greater Moncton,” Randall said.

Dr. Crouse said she welcomes Randall’s communication and strategic skills and his ability to network with decision-makers.

“Members of the leadership council of the GMHSC were unanimous in approving Mike as the business co-chair. We believe this gives our committee an important voice as we work to execute the 26 other actions in the Joint Action Report.”
